I received my PhD from the University of Virginia in 2017. Prior to studying at UVA, I received a BA and MA in History from the University of Amsterdam, and an MA in Political Science from The New School for Social Research. My research and teaching interests focus on political parties, campaigns and elections, and the historical development of American political institutions. My research has been published in Political Analysis, American Politics Research, and Studies in American Political Development. Starting in Fall 2017 I will be an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Fordham University. My curriculum vitae can be found here.
