I am a political scientists who studies American political institutions - most notably, political parties and elections. I received my PhD from the University of Virginia in 2017. Prior to beginning my studies at UVA, I recieved a BA and MA in History from the University of Amsterdam, and an MA in Political Science from The New School for Social Research - for which I also received a Fulbright Fellowship. My teaching focuses on political parties, campaigns and elections, and American political institutions.
