I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Fordham University. I received my PhD from the University of Virginia in 2017. I previously received a BA and MA in History from the University of Amsterdam, and an MA in Political Science from The New School for Social Research - for which I also received a Fulbright Fellowship.

My research and teaching interests focus on political parties, campaigns and elections, and the historical development of American political institutions. My research has been published in (among others) The Journal of PoliticsPolitical AnalysisAmerican Politics Research, Electoral Studies, and Studies in American Political Development. My teaching has included undergraduate and graduate courses on American Political Parties, Campaigns and Elections, and American Political Institutions.
